Video: A Place to Bury Strangers – “Keep Slipping Away”

Latter day shoegaze enthusiasts A Place to Bury Strangers are still riding the massive waves from their 2009 release, Exploding Head. The band is gearing up for a co-headlining tour with the like-minded Big Pink, which hits the U.S. in just a few weeks.
Meanwhile, A Place to Bury Strangers have unveiled their latest video for “Keep Slipping Away,” Exploding Head’s second single. Directed by Brendan Bellomo and Greg Wilson, the video follows a strict narrative, pulling equally from David Lynch and David Cronenberg’s Videodrome. The end result combines a nostalgic ’80s feel with modern wizardry for a captivating viewing experience that suits the song’s aesthetic perfectly. The video is currently up for MTvU’s “Freshman Video” award, so click below to view, and click here to vote if it tickles your fancy.
