What You're Doing Tonight - 1/29/08

marilynmanson2.jpgCouldn't get your hands on Vampire Weekend tickets? Yeah, me neither. Here are some other options for tonight. Up at Hammerstein Ballroom, goth rocker Marilyn Manson performs for his angst-ridden fans. As a Manson fan myself, I want to go, but the $70 ticket price seems a bit steep. Jersey rockers Ours opens the show at 7:30.

Looking for a laugh? A group of comedians will be performing at the Knitting Factory tonight to help raise support for Obama's campaign. Headlining will be Aziz Ansari (Human Giant), Eugene Mirman, and The Whitest Kids You Know. Performing live will be songwriters Shonali Bhowmik and Marcellus Hall. Doors open at 8, and tickets are $25.
