Contrary to their relaxed music style, Nada Surf has had quite a turbulent ride in the past few years. The band first gained attention with their mainstream hit "Popular" in 1996, but left the spotlight to become pioneers in the post-millennial indie rock movement. Now the band is playing to huge crowds across the country (you can still nab tickets for their 4/11 show at Terminal 5).

Next Tuesday, Nada Surf releases their fifth studio album, Lucky, on Barsuk Records. The 11 song catalog subscribes to the trio's chipper, yet reserved sound, and works well as a continuation of their 2005 effort, The Weight is a Gift. Can't wait for Tuesday?
