Nick Urata, front man of DeVotchKa, once told me in an interview years ago that he used to play guitar at train stations in Chicago because nobody would give him a show.

Knowing that fact, it's been a pleasure to watch one of my favorite bands progress from being a backing band at burlesque shows to scoring films like Little Miss Sunshine and selling out shows nationwide. As I'm sure you've heard, they have a new label (ANTI-) and a new record called A Mad & Faithful Telling coming out March 18 and yes, that also means, they have another tour coming up.
