DeVotchKa sells tickets to fans first!
Nick Urata, front man of DeVotchKa, once told me in an interview years ago that he used to play guitar at train
stations in Chicago because nobody would give him a show.
Knowing that fact, it's been a pleasure to watch one of my favorite bands progress from being a backing band at burlesque shows to scoring films like Little Miss Sunshine and selling out shows nationwide. As I'm sure you've heard, they have a new label (ANTI-) and a new record called A Mad & Faithful Telling coming out March 18 and yes, that also means, they have another tour coming up. You can get digital single "Transliterator" on iTunes now and they just announced that for a limited time fans can pre-purchase tickets for U.S. dates here.
