The Dodd Pod
Ah, to have one-syllable and easily rhyming name; it makes connecting with American youth so much catchier. Low-polling candidate for President, Chris Dodd (D-CT) has been out on the road trying to connect with the ever elusive, low-voting segment: the kids. To get on their wavelength he has awkwardly made his iPod a central figure in his campaign - the "Dodd Pod".
Visitors to the Dodd Pod's site can suggest songs for his playlist, which the Senator then tries to work into interviews to look savvy. Recently, he's been listening to everything from Peter, Paul and Mary to Amy Winehouse - with a bit of The Boss thrown in there for good taste (what American politician doesn't like Springsteen?).
An interesting move for Dodd, but he better watch out - Beck's "Loser" might show up a little faster than he'd like.
