What You're Doing Tonight - 3/5/08

Posted on March 05, 2008

slightlystoopid.jpgWith all the indie rockers on their way to Texas for SXSW, NYC is left with some more recognizable names. Tonight, follow the haze of smoke to Gramercy as stoner band Slightly Stoopid bring their laid-back reggae to Blender Theatre. Joining them will be dub rockers The Expendables. Doors open at 7 PM, and tickets are $25.

Downtown, metalheads The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza bring their heavy sound to the Knitting Factory Tap Room. These guys are too intense for me, but that's got to be the best band name I've heard since this morning. Laid-back Cleveland synth-pop DJ White Williams headlines upstairs.

And for all you couch potatoes, American Idol is on at 8.
