A lady with the lushest voice in the land will be touring her way through the Midwest starting next week, and you’d be crazy not to catch her at one of these intimate dates if you can. Anna Vogelzang, a Carnegie Mellon voice major-turned touring songstress, and frequent stage companion of ukulele folkie Emilyn Brodsky, is based in Chicago, where she enjoys “photobooths, dried flowers, and days spent in the sun,” according to her website. There are plenty of girls with guitars to choose from these days, but few can fill a room with the kind of sheer power possessed by Vogelzang, who sings about love, “love,” and travel like she knows.
