Video: The Giraffes - Man U

As I mentioned in an earlier post, the most intense/entertaining show I saw at SXSW was from Brooklyn thrash rockers The Giraffes. I hit up YouTube to see if these guys have any videos -- sure enough they do. Rather than making a conventional music video, The Giraffes got drunk, and taped their lead singer going punch for punch against their tour manager. Looks painful.

The dude on the left (we'll call him Guy One) was his own worst enemy in that fight. He needed to get the dude on the right (uncreatively, Guy Two) to back up. You can clearly see that Guy One's elbow was up against the wall with every swing, constructing his range of motion. He was also just punching with his arm, instead of rotating his whole body and stepping into the punch. And look at the follow-through on Guy Two's punches. I applaud Guy One and his resilience, but, well, whatever.
