What You're Doing Tonight - 3/26/08
No reason to stay in and watch American Idol tonight. After yesterday's performances, it's quite clear that David Cook owns our souls. Here are a few live music options to go check out instead:
The hot ticket tonight is for The Raveonettes, who will fill the Bowery Ballroom with their dirty pop...honestly, I didn't mean to quote N*Sync right there, it kind of just happened. Anyways, the duo gave us a sneak peak of the show last night, with a performance on Letterman. Psychedelic alt-rockers Black Acid opens. The show starts at 7:30, and tickets are $18.
Uptown, alt-country veterans Drive By Truckers bring their sound to the intimidating Terminal 5. Recently, they've developed cred in the indie rock community, which should make for a diverse crowd. Fellow southern rockers The Whigs open the show with their boisterous garage pop. Doors open at 7, tickets are $25.
