What You're Doing Tonight - 3/31/08

healthdrums.jpgSomebody's got a case of the Mondays. I'll be salvaging the day with some live rock tonight, so come join me. Here are some options:

The highly buzzed experimental four piece HEALTH rocks the Knitting Factory later. After playing a handful of 21+ shows recently, the band is reaching out to their younger fans with an all ages show. Joining them will be electonica trio Genghis Tron and synth lovebirds High Places. Tickets are only $8, and the show starts at 8. Get there early, since this will be packed.

Broke? At 6:30, The Dodos are putting on a free show at Soundfix Records, a venue that had some problems over the weekend. The band just received "Best New Music" on Pitchfork for their latest album Visiter, so expect a big crowd.

If you're not in the mood for a concert, check out that new movie 21, which hit theaters last Friday. The flick's not great, but has a killer soundtrack, which includes MGMT, LCD Soundsystem, and Peter, Bjorn & John.
