Amy Winehouse Fails Bond Girl Audition, Settles for Theme Song ... We Hope
Despite the stress from Universal's ultimatum to cut the crack or kiss her new album goodbye, Amy Winehouse has been doing something productive lately (besides fighting with cab drivers). Recent rumors say she's been penning the theme for the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, with the help of producer Mark Ronson. There have been reports that the two are currently holed up in Ronson's pad in Oxfordshire to work their magic. The new Bond film is said to be dark in nature, so it looks like we've got a winning combination here. Despite her obvious drug problems, Winehouse's talent could lend itself incredibly well to this venture, and more rumors have suggested she is actually writing her new album in these mysterious sessions. A follow-up to Back In Black would be career-saving for Winehouse, but if the Bond rumors turn out to be true, we can see the song as a baby step. Staying positive.
