Air's Moon Safari Turns 10

Posted on April 23, 2008

air moon safari.jpgRemember back in 1998 when you got lucky the night you spun Air's Moon Safari? Me neither. I was 13. Of course, I realize that teenagers mature much more quickly these days (see: Miley Cyrus), but I was unaware of this album's power in the year of its inception. A decade later, I've finally got my chance to use it for its original purpose. This week, Astralwerks is releasing a special 10-year anniversary edition of Moon Safari, which includes the original CD, a bonus disc of remixes, B-sides and live performances, and "AIR: Eating, Sleeping, Waiting and Playing," a DVD containing music videos and a band documentary. The videos and film are also posted on Air's official YouTube site.

But that's not all. Air wants every last juicy detail about that special night you had with Moon Safari, whether it was spent alone or with a friend. You can write a testament and read those posted by others, which range from raunchy to sweet as pie. Don't worry. It's the Internet. You can be as anonymous and honest as you like. Until your current squeeze figures out it's you writing about that Great Night with your ex, and well ... you're on your own from there, pal.
