What You're Doing Tonight - 4/23/08

Posted on April 23, 2008

For a Wednesday, there's plenty going on in the city. Here are some options:

Kate Nash @ Webster Hall: Although I can't get enough of her new album, Nash sticks to a pretty standard message. Spoilers: Boys Suck! Boys Suck! Boys Suck!

Cinematic Orchestra @ Music Hall of Williamsburg: Couldn't afford tickets to the Met? Head over to MH of W tonight, and fake your way into looking sophisticated.

The Lisps @ Cake Shop: The four piece bring their frenetic pop to life in the stuffy, dark venue. And no, the desserts upstairs aren't kosher for Passover, so you may want to bring a matzah snack.

Tokyo Police Club @ Sound Fix: After a five show stint in NYC this week, this will be your final chance to catch them live before they head out on a massive spring/summer tour. It's free!

The Virgins @ Mercury Lounge: These guys have been charming hipsters with their dance-inducing funk tunes and irreverent attitude. Sam Champion opens the show, which is sure to be packed.
