Stream: Jamie Lidell - Jim

A co-worker had left Jamie Lidell's new album Jim on his desk last night, so I popped it in this morning for a listen. Knowing zero about the singer, I found myself listening to the album twice, tapping my toes to the upbeat Out of My System and swaying to the sultry All I Wanna Do. Lidell's mix of mo-town, soul and funk was a great way to start the day. I headed over to the singer's myspace page, and much to my surprise, found out Lidell is white!! Quite shocking, since he sounds like a mix of Ray Charles and Marvin Gaye. Jim hits shelves next Tuesday, but you can preview the album in its entirety over on myspace.
