Raveonettes’ Demos Free On Twitter

Let’s face it, Twitter is taking over the universe, 140 characters at a time. In an attempt to build mystery and intrigue, countless musicians have taken to the tweet decks. The Raveonettes have upped the ante even further, and have begun to release demos from their new record on the site.
The Danish duo is currently in the studio, recording tracks for their upcoming as yet untitled album. Eager for feedback on their recent studio adventures, the band has already released one demo, “Last Dance,” on Twitter. Though the track will most likely be fleshed out before the album is released, the band is eager to hear any and all feedback, according to a post on their MySpace blog:
“Don’t be shy to leave comments for the tunes, we most definitely appreciate your opinion! We wanna make the best Raveonettes album to date!”
The question is simple: Will the community ethic and input truly turn this record into one the public will adore, or will too many cooks in the kitchen lead to its demise? Only time will tell, I suppose. Stay tuned to the band’s Twitter account for more demos to come over the following weeks. Otherwise, fans not up to speed on the site can sign up on the band’s Vice Records page for further news and mp3s from the band.
