I just booked a ticket to Colorado. Why? On September 13th and 14th, Red Rocks Amphitheater is hosting the annual Monolith Festival, and has put together a lineup that just made me wet myself (Note: Pissed Jeans is NOT playing, but White Denim is). Marquee names include Justice, Vampire Weekend and TV on the Radio, while local favorites like A Place to Bury Strangers, The Morning Benders and The Giraffes fill out the list. Every other band you've probably wanted to see this year falls in between. Between the rock (music) and the rocks (landscape), this festival will definitely be worth the trip.
