The Black Angels

Posted on May 06, 2008

blackangelsdirections.jpgBreak out some tie-die and black lights -- psychedelic collective The Black Angels have a new album coming out next week, which explores a darker realm of the drone-driven sound they introduced with 2006's Passover. The new effort, Directions to See a Ghost is full of trippy sounds and mind blowing progressions, sure to be the soundtrack for your next acid trip.

Anxious to hear it? Well, the band's label, Light in the Attic, is trying out a unique pre-sale process to appease fans who don't have the patience to wait until next week. Basically, fans can currently pre-order the album at a participating record store (see list here), and they will be given a code for an album download that can be redeemed on the band's website. When the album comes out next week, fans can return to the record store, and pick up a hard copy deluxe album, which includes four additional tracks.
