MP3: 65daysofstatic - Dance Parties

Although my 2nd grade grammar teacher disapproves of their band name, I've been hooked to 65daysofstatic ever since their fiery album The Destruction of New Ideas landed in my mailbox last summer. Whenever I'm in the mood to zone out to powerful instrumentals, I pop this baby in and get lost in their emotionally driven electronic rock. However, since most of their music is void of vocals, I never associate these guys with an image, and haven't made an effort to see these guys live. It was a pleasant surprise when I realized this morning that they're opening for a concert I already have tickets for.

Turns out that 65daysofstatic will be travel buddies with Robert Smith for the next six weeks, as they go on tour with the original definers of New Wave, The Cure. That tour kicks off tonight in Washington DC, and will bring the two bands all over the country. A full list of dates are under the cut.
