What You're Doing Tonight - 5/12/08

Posted on May 12, 2008

Boo, Monday. Lift your spirits with some live rock tonight. Here are some options:

tegan2.jpgThe Kiss Off @ Mercury Lounge: I can't rave about this relatively unknown new-wave band enough. They celebrate the release of their new album Brace tongiht

Duffy @ Apollo Theater: At this point, I've fallen under Duffy's 'mercy,' but as addictive as her music is, I ain't trekking uptown to hear it. Uptowners, don't miss it.

Tegan & Sara @ Terminal 5: The tiny twins will attempt to fill the massive Terminal 5 with their Canadian indie pop. I hear "Walking with the Ghost" is still in their lineup, which is enough to get me there.

The Heavy @ Le Royale: This one may be a bit hard to get into, considering its part of Playboy's Rock the Rabbit tour. For the lucky few who make it in, centerfolds in bunny suits await.

Kid Static @ Union Hall: Brooklyn-bound? Take the R to Union st for some bocce and hip hop.
