I feel as though its been years (okay maybe only one) since San Francisco's Birdmonster arrived on our eastern shores. There's good reason for the hiatus, however, as the recently Fader-signed band has been cooped up working on the follow-up to the critically acclaimed No Midnight. Their sophomore effort, entitled From The Mountain To The Sea (how patriotic!), will be out August 5, and you can bet that they'll be showcasing some new tunes in a special invite-only show at Mercury Lounge next Wednesday. Birdmonster will be playing an early show for their favorite fans, and to get on the list (free!) you can email the band and ask nicely. Or just ask. Whatever floats your boat.
