Clockcleaner’s Last Show

clockcleaner

Philadelphia’s favorite jerkcore outfit broke up in April, leaving a hole (ahem) not just any of our fine historic city’s plethora of badly behaved arrested adolescents could fill.  No, Clockcleaner was something special.  They played rugged and unabashedly noisy, didn’t follow trends (at least, not from this decade) and took every cheap shot a typically swaggering ninth grade band would.  Oh, and they rocked.  The group’s final performance was at the city’s newish little rock club, Kung Fu Necktie.  Prospective attendees had to request approval for the right to purchase a ticket to see John Sharkey III and company ridicule passersbys…and fans in a typically Philly move.  Meanwhile, the fine folks over at the Vice Conglomerate’s  web-TV station VBS were there, filming a nice chuck of both Clockcleaner’s snotty noise and snarky insults.  What a perfect way to gear up for a nice summer weekend, especially if you don’t live in the City of Brotherly Love…and, you know, wanna feel good about that.
