I hope this doesn’t ruin your day as badly as it ruined mine. Earlier, Live Nation announced that they will be cancelling Kelly Clarkson’s summer tour as a result of low ticket sales. Originally, Live Nation producers believed that Clarkson could fill the majority of seats on the 38 arena tour slated to kick off on July 7^th, but according to LN CEO Michael Rapino, they had overestimated the American Idol. “We came to the realization that we had bit off more than we could chew,” says Rapino. “In the end, we are in the Kelly Clarkson business and for that reason we believe that this decision will only benefit her and her fans in the long run."

It’s been a tough year for Kelly Clarkson. First, Clive Davis threatened to shelve her upcoming album, and now, she is forced to cancel her biggest tour yet. Hopefully her fans will stay loyal, and see through all of the corporate interference that has prevented her from creating an authentic image of herself. I'm rooting for Clarkson - - she's the only tween role model around who still wears underwear.
