Sinatra: New York, a five-disc boxed set (4-CD/1-DVD) of previously unreleased live performances, will be available November 3rd. For a suggested list price of $79.99 (physical) and $34.99 (digital), the 71-track collection of unreleased tracks (55 on CD/16 on DVD) features rare, never-before-seen photos, tributes from Martin Scorsese (whose plans for an upcoming biopic has apparently angered Sinatra’s family), Tony Bennett, Yogi Berra, and Twyla Tharp, liner notes by Nat Hentoff, and essays by William Friedkin, director of The Exorcist and French Connection; George Kalinsky, official photographer for Madison Square Garden for over 40 years; Tom Young, engineer for Sinatra; Joe & Sal Scognamillo, owners of Patsy’s Italian Restaurant in New York City; and Frank Sinatra Jr. Sinatra: New York, which was produced by Charles Pignone, also features a DVD of a concert performance filmed on on June 25, 1980 at Carnegie Hall.
