What You're Doing Tonight - 6/4/08

waltermeego.jpgM83 @ Bowery Ballroom: I saw them last night -- great music, just not very engaging. The lead guy spends most of the set humping his keyboard and turning knobs on his barrage of electronic gadgetry. He never really acknowledges the crowd, but flawlessly recreates the albums on stage.

Walter Meego @ Music Hall of Williamsburg: The synth-based trio unleash a dance party tonight, opening for Aussie house band, The Presets.

Action Painters @ Lit Lounge: Brooklyn pop rockers take over the sweaty, underground venue tonight for what promises to be drunken fun.

GZA @ Nokia Theater: The Wu-Tang alum hits the Times Square venue tonight along with a handful of other hip hop artists for the Paid Dues Festival.

Bell X1 @ The Fillmore: These guys are what I like to call rock-lite. The Irish foursome bring their charming pop to ex-Irving Plaza tonight.
