Video: Sally Shapiro – “My Guilty Pleasure”

While some artists crave the spotlight (paging Kanye West!), a few prefer to let the music do the talking for them. After the runaway success of Swedish Italo-disco act Sally Shapiro’s 2006 debut single, “I’ll Be By Your Side,” and 2007 debut, Disco Romance, the group’s singer decided fame wasn’t her bag and has remained anonymous. Though the twosome’s singer will talk to the press from time-to-time, but she won’t perform live or appear in videos. After releasing their second album, My Guilty Pleasure, last month, comes a video for the album’s first single, “Miracle.”

According to producer Johan Agebjörn, “This music video is directed by Will Joines, whom we had the pleasure to shortly meet during our one and only (and short) DJ tour to North America. He photographed us during the appearance in New York and was really nice. We like his work so we had him to direct this music video together with the producer Gilana Lobel and a few more people.”

The result is a beautiful, dramatic video about two headphones-wearing lovers whose relationship seems to be in silent turmoil. Will they stay together? You’ll have to watch the clip to find out.
