Summer concert madness in Philadelphia is back! After a bit of a lull last weekend, the Quaker City shifts back into full-gear. Tonight kicks off the Philadelphia Popped! Festival, with a pre-party at The Trocadero featuring everyone's favorite OG Brit MC, Slick Rick. The full schedule for the fest is finally up online, but highlights include Vampire Weekend, Gogol Bordello, and the amazing Daniel Johnston. For those of you without the cash to invest in a weekend of indie-cred fun, don't sweat it. Not only are single-day tickets available, but there are a bunch of great, more modestly priced shows to keep you busy this weekend, including two-thirds of the Sun City Girls.
