Multimember Manhattan/Brooklyn-based dance floor demons The Phenomenal Handclap Band earned heaps of critical praise (”…buzzing, burbling four-on-the-floor dance floor fillers…a resounding success,” raved Pitchfork) with their sensational self-titled debut released in June on Friendly Fire. Led by DJ/producers Sean Marquand and Daniel Collás, PHB draw upon disco, funk, R&B, Latin, soul, and rock in order to craft their sultry grooves.

This EP features five reworked songs found on their debut album. It was recorded in the band’s basement studio in the East Village on an analog board plugged into a vintage reel-to-reel recorder. Check out this sizzling rendition of “Testimony” and start shaking your booty!
