As previously reported, '80s metal continues to enjoy an unprecedented resurgence. Those crafty trendspotters at Rhino are well aware of this trend and will issue the massive 70-track Heavy Metal Box set on October 2.

The four-disc set will (mostly) feature classic headbanging anthems from Kiss, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Pantera and Sepultura (to name only a few). In a nod to Spinal Tap—whose song "Big Bottom" is included in the set—the faux-amp box features an authentic, turnable Marshall knob allowing you to literally turn it up to 11. Nothing says metal like twisting an amp knob, right? Noted journo Mick Wall penned liner notes for the set, which will retail for $64.98. Metal purists will no doubt question the inclusion of songs from Rush, Poison and Living Colour. Let the debate begin!
