Elvis’ Goth 17-Year-Old Grandson Nails $5 Million Record Deal

Well, it’s good to know someone in the music industry is making money these days. Even if that person is Elvis Presley’s teenage grandson, Benjamin Keough. The spawn of Lisa Marie Presley and her ex-husband Danny Keough, Ben has earned the jaw-dropping payday of $5 million to record five albums for Universal. And all that from a young’un who hasn’t even produced a hit single yet.
I guess that’s not too surprising, though: It’s clear the music industry is most excited about Ben’s rock-royalty heritage and notable resemblance to the grandpa he never knew. As far as I’m concerned, it’s pretty weird to see a goth/emo hairdo on a face that looks so much like Elvis’. And though I know practically nothing about Ben, the few things he’s said to the press so far can’t help but worry me: “The music will be nothing like Elvis, nothing like him at all.” (Right, because, really — what crap that was!)
Although Ben is already recording his debut full-length, we don’t learn much else about his musical style. His spokesperson did have this to offer, however: “He’s a typical 17-year-old. He doesn’t get up before midday and then grunts at you.” Sounds like a keeper to me!

I’m sorry but you are kind of a prick here.
I don’t know the context of his quote, perhaps he deserved the derision, but just in the context of the story, it just sounds like he doesn’t want to be compared with his grandfather. Living up to the image and legend is nigh impossible so don’t try and do your own thing.but, just going off of this story, it sounds like you have already made up your mind and nothing he was going to do was going to please you anyhow.
Maybe Elvis’ grandson is jack ass and you know more than what is in your story, but you come off more so

Tone aside, you can’t help but wonder if this is just a case of gross nepotism. Perhaps we can be judgemental here, but it’s hard not to be in this case, when someone of equal or more talent may very well be ignored in light of Ben’s heritage.
