P.S.1’s Warm Up, which will run from July through September, is one of New York City's best summer music rituals. Featuring bands and DJs as diverse as Fischerspooner and DJ Craze, the weekly party is the perfect blend of good music, interesting art and beautiful people. Held at the famed Long Island City based cultural Mecca known as P.S.1, this year’s installment begins on July 5th. Doors open at 3:00pm, and you’d better get there early ‘cause the lines are always ridiculous! More importantly, this Saturday's event begins Warm Up’s tenth anniversary event, which will be housed in an urban farmland, P.F.1 (Public Farm One), featuring live and blossoming vegetation created by the winners of the 2008 Young Architects Program, WORK Architecture Company.

What can we expect this year? Plenty. Says P.S.1 Director of Public Programming and Managing Director of Art Radio WPS1.org David Weinstein: “This year's Warm Up celebrates its tenth anniversary with the widest and wildest collection of bands, DJs, and musical experimenters. We have legendary artists alongside a new generation of musicians brought from near and far – from France and Finland to Brooklyn's Black Rock Coalition, from punk and funk to electronic and psychedelic. Every day will be a six hour musical thrill ride.”

Warm Up will also be streamed live on WPS1.org beginning Saturday, July 5 through September 6, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST. Broadcasts featuring artist and DJ interviews will also be archived on WPS1.org.
