Ja Rule Making A Comeback…Really?
There was a time when Ja Rule’s classic screams of “It’s Muuurdah” were synonymous with his success in the rap game. But after being on the losing end of a very public battle with 50 Cent and an already-failed comeback attempt, Ja may be lucky if it’s even involuntary manslaughter this time around. Feeling resilient and as if he’s got even more to offer to the industry and his fans, the Murder Inc. franchise player recently announced that he’s set to drop a new three-disc album entitled Venni Vetti Vecci in 2010.
The name is taken from his debut blockbuster LP and is geared toward refreshing fans’ memories of the rapper at the peak of his career. The Queens MC did catch the eyes of those who tuned in to this year’s VH1 Hip Hop Honors, as he once again teamed up with the Bonnie to his Clyde, Ashanti, to perform a couple of their past hits. Hoping to capitalize on that momentum, Rule feels like this is the perfect time for him to take his finger off of the pause button and re-enter the game.
“It’s a real crazy album. It’s a three-disc set,” he said while speaking to WorldStarHipHop. “I got the He Came disc, He Saw disc, and He Conquered. They all different vibes…I don’t think it’s ever been done before.”
No official release date for the project has been announced as of yet. Talk amongst yourselves…
