Four Tet Says There Is Love In You on New Album

Okay, we realize that former Fridge man/Four Tet principal Kieran Hebden hasn’t exactly been idle since the release of the last new Four Tet full-length; besides putting out the Remixes collection, he’s collaborated with everyone from soundtrack composer David Arnold to dubstep doyen Burial, released a DJ-Kicks mix, and done a ton of stuff in his ongoing side project with free-jazz drummer Steve Reid. But still — you can’t blame us for feeling a bit of a Four Tet jones over the last four years.
Fortunately, the void that only Four Tet can fill will soon be seen to, as Hebden is set to release There Is Love In You through the Domino label on January 26th. Now, we can already hear the more rabid Hebden obsessives out there begin to whine “January 26? I can’t wait that long!” Settle down, there’s help on the way — the single “Love Cry,” backed with the non-album track “Our Bells,” will pop up as a 12-inch on December 8th. That’ll give you something to flaunt in front of your less obsessed friends who only end up with the album. What’s that you say now? Track list? Look, it’s just a bunch of song titles that won’t give you any kind of clue as to what the music actually sounds like, what good will it do you? Oh, alright. Freak.
There Is Love In You track list:
- Angel Echoes
- Love Cry
- Circling
- Pablo’s Heart
- Sing
- This Unfolds
- Reversing
- Plastic People
- She Just Likes To Fight
