Animal Collective Releases ‘Fall Be Kind’ EP Details

Those Animal Collective dudes are such overachievers. Their latest album, Merriweather Post Pavilion, only came out this year, and it’s already ranking high on premature best-of-the-decade lists. But these guys still have one item to add to their discography before the ’00s are out. Info about the band’s Fall Be Kind EP has been trickling out for months, but it looks like we’ve finally got some definites. And guess what? It looks like we’ll be hearing it earlier than we thought.
The five-track EP is slated to make its online debut November 23, nearly a month before its December 15th physical release. The boys put the record together early last year in both Mississippi and Brooklyn, with help from Ben Allen. And one of the new tracks, “What Would I Want? Sky,” features the first-ever legal Grateful Dead sample! Sounds intriguing (and possibly trippy?) to me.
Track list for Fall Be Kind EP:
1 – Graze
2 – What Would I Want? Sky
3 – Bleed
4 – On a Highway
5 – I Think I Can
