Did Steven Tyler Quit Aerosmith?
Things have been weird with Aerosmith for a while now. Back in August, Steven Tyler spent some time in the hospital after falling off a catwalk and into the crowd. Then, in September, guitarist Joe Perry quelled suspicions that the band was breaking up saying, simply, “Aerosmith is taking a breather.” But now, it appears that if the group does, indeed, take their show on the road again, it will be without Tyler.
“Steven quit as far as I can tell,” Perry said in an interview with the Las Vegas Sun. “I don’t know any more than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band.” It seems communication has broken down, and Tyler’s band members are walking on eggshells to avoid pissing him off and risking more cancelled performances.
So, what happens if Tyler really has quit? According to Perry, that won’t be the end of Aerosmith. The band would, he said, simply find a replacement to “move the Aerosmith vibe up a notch.” Ouch, Joe. Personally, I have to wonder whether anything that doesn’t include Steve Tyler can rightly be called “Aerosmith.” Love him or hate him, its his voice, lips and attitude that have made the band what it is. Can anyone else really hope to fill those sparkly platform boots?

steven cant just quit aerosmith. then aerosmith would be nothing… sadly then i will never be able to get a chance to go to a aero concert. im sad.

There has been reportings that Steven has been slacking/being careless. However, This should not be the case that Tyler is leaving. If Tyler’s gone…then so is the band. It’d be the same situation like back in ‘81 when Perry left. They cannot simply replace anyone in that band and expect it to boast fans hopes or even their own. Perry saying “move the vibe up a notch” does not apply for them. No one wants anyone else BUT Tyler to sing for aerosmith. He has a unique quality in his voice that cannot be replaced. Aerosmith fans will have none of it! So to Mr. Tyler-Get your ass on the ball and do your job! You have millions of fans whom you will greatly disappoint!

He cant just hes an amazing singer and i still want ti go to the aerosmith concert that was canceld and if he quite aerosmith wont be the same anymore.And how do we know he did quite or he just said that because he was mad or something and hes soo amazing at singing and dancing on the stage and wearing awesome oufits. Iwas crying about this my friend sent me somthing about this it pissed me off so badlyand how can joe perry say that they will never tour again i was suppost to go to there winnipeg consert but they got cancled im not blaming it on steven for falling off the stage but how could he qutie i want to go to there concert i love them there my insperation like steven tyler said DREAM UNTIL UR DREAMS COME TRUE and IF U HAV SOMTHING WEAR IT AND WEAR IT PROUD i mean like seriously i want to meet themm so bad i hav a wall of pictures of steven and aerosmith and i just dont care about steven i care about all the guys i love them

I cant believe this! im a huge fan and the cant just “break up” They can never go on tour again without Steven Tyler. Aerosmith isnt Aerosmith unless Steven Tyler is the lead singer. I wonder what drove Steven away…..

Im still sad about hearing that steven tyler might hav quite aerosmith i mean i love them sooooo much i reading ther autobiography called walk this way again this is my 2nd time reading it i really shouldent be reading it but its sooo good i love them soo much and i really want to meet them cuz steven and joe are sooo hot .

Okay, so I am the biggest fan of Aerosmith that ever walked on this Earth especially Steven TYler. So if Joe even thinks about replacing Steven, then he’s jacked up. and if Steven TYler thinks hes gonna quit, than that’s way jacked up! I mean, I live for Aerosmith, and if Steven TYler’s not there, the band is gonna die, but if Steven goes on his own, he’s gonna die too. They need to stick together!!!! I agree with alex, those two are the hottest things ever, and i agree with julianna too. my vote is stick together, aerosmith, and live with it. i bet it’s just another sissy fight. andif perry heard that on the dot com, then it’s prob not true. but if it is, im gonna be madder than i have ever been. madder than i am now!
