Then he announced that the band was planning an ass-load of reunion dates. And now! He’s told BANG showbiz that he and the boys are getting together to record lost material from the ’70s. “James Williamson is really hot to trot and there’s a lot of old stuff that The Stooges failed to record. We wrote a load of songs that we only ever played live, so I’m looking forward to doing some studio recordings,” said the Ig. Any old-time Stooges bootleggers out there care to hazard a guess as to which tracks the new sessions might yield?

In the same interview, Pop waxed philosophical about the Living Legend award he accepted last week at London’s Marshall Classic Rock Roll of Honor shindig.
