Covers of Michael Jackson’s songs have become ubiquitous since the King of Pop’s untimely death earlier this year. The latest interpretation to cause a stir is from Pomplamoose, an indie-rock duo comprised of Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn. Though they’ve only been making music together since the summer of 2008, their nifty, striped down indie-rock style cover of “Beat It” has become a viral sensation. According to the band, “this cover is a VideoSong, a new medium with 2 rules: 1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice). 2.
