This is probably the best free-music weekend all summer. In fact, I can't recall a better weekend freebie line up in the three years I've lived here. Saturday is, of course, Siren. I'll be showing up early for Parts & Labor, the Dodos, Times New Viking, and Beach House. Though I'd love to see Broken Social Scene, I know better than to think that I'll actually be able to see anything by the time the headliners take the stage. Sunday brings Liars and Team Robespierre at McCarren Park Pool, followed by Celebration at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.

And the weekend kicks off tonight with none other than Deerhoof in Prospect Park. They'll be sharing a bill with the Metropolis Ensemble, who are "remixing" Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring."
