Alicia Keys Preps New Album, Embarks On Whirlwind TV Promo Tour

alicia_keys_Alicia Keys has revealed the tracklisting for her fifth album, The Element of Freedom, due out on December 15th. The 12-time Grammy winner has had an amazing year, thanks to collaborating with Jay-Z on the ubiquitous “Empire State of Mind.” Keys’ new album will feature a “soulfully soaring version” of the aforementioned song, plus a duet with Beyoncé (“Put It In A Love Song”) while Drake offers backing vocals on “Un-thinkable (I’m Ready).” The album features production by Alicia Keys, her longtime collaborator Kerry “Krucial” Brothers, Jeff Bhasker, Swizz Beatz, and Noah “40” Shebib.

Keys has already taken to the airwaves to promote her upcoming album. Fresh from an appearance on Dancing With The Stars and Sunday’s American Music Awards, Keys performed this morning on The Today Show and will appear on Oprah on 11/30 (where she joins country music superstar Tim McGraw for a duet performance of John Lennon, Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)”), NBC’s Christmas at Rockefeller (12/2), followed by performances on Late Show with David Letterman (12/14), The Colbert Report (12/15), The View (12/16), BET 106 & Keys Live Special (12/16) and a return visit to The Today Show (12/17).
