Video: ‘No Distance Left to Run’ (Blur Documentary) Trailer

It seems only fitting for Blur to do a victory lap, now that their long-running rivals Oasis have (finally) called it quits. And what better way to do so than in a feature-length documentary chronicling the band’s formation, rise to international fame, dramatic breakup and eventual reconciliation/reunion? That is what fans can look forward to in No Distance Left to Run, which hits theaters around the world January 19th.

The trailer for the film (posted below) is a work of consummate sweetness. Set against a soundtrack of smash-hit Blur singles “Song 2″ and “The Universal,” and full of soft-voiced aspirations and triumphant comeback talk, the doc will surely be a treat for Brit-pop superfans. No Distance Left to Run seems to feature both ample concert footage (including some Beatlemania-rivaling audience shots) and a trove of introspective interviews — especially from Graham Coxon, who whispers the following touching sentiment: “I knew it would make me happy to get my friends back.” Could No Distance Left to Run be the feel-good tearjerker of 2010?
