Aerosmith’s New Singer: T-Pain?
That’s impossible, silly. But as you already know from our extensive coverage, things aren’t hunky dory in Aerosmith’s camp at the moment (see the gorey details below). As the drama between the band and singer Steven Tyler continues to unfold (Is he in the band? Did he quit?), fellow Toxic Twin Joe Perry has remained busy, performing with Katy Perry at the VMAs and keeping his Joe Perry Project on the road in support of the recently-released Have Guitar, Will Travel. While Aerosmith’s fans await official word on the Beantown band’s future, it was announced today that the legendary guitarist will perform a rendition of “Walk This Way” with T-Pain at a pre-game concert for Dolphins vs. Patriots game at the Land Shark Tailgate Stage on Sunday, December 6th.
Obligatory press release gush from Joe Perry: “I’ve tailgated up north a few times and it’s hard cooking sausage with your fingers frozen. I’m looking forward to getting some ribs going in Miami and to being able to feel my fingers, which is always sure to help my performance.”
Now the big question: Will we Steven jump back in the saddle again and join Joe on stage? To be continued….

Aerosmith without Steven Tyler is not Aerosmith, nor is it going to exist without any other member. I just hope that they get back together…it’s too late in their game to be dissing each other in the press. As Keith and Mick once told each other, “Darling, this thing is bigger than the both of us,” so the same applies for Joe and Steven.
