Kylie Minogue Gets Down, Goes Digital in North America

kylieminogue-3

You might think it would be a challenge for a singer as diminutive as Kylie Minogue to put on a show big enough to fill New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom, but apparently the pop superstar more than rose to the occasion. The final date of her sold-out North American tour on October 13th was a strobed-out, bass-pumping glitterfest that the New York Times called “close to an alternate reality.” Now Kylie’s turning it into a live digital album due out on December 15th. Loyal to her fans, she’s putting the first half of the album, Kylie Live In New York, up on her YouTube channel for 24 hours starting at midnight on December 12th, a full three days before the official release. Tune into the Minogueathon to hear the hits from her 20-year career, and see if you can catch the Eminem cover. Kylie even managed to outshine Madonna in Perez Hilton’s eyes, who said he enjoyed the show “soooo much more than M’s last tour.” You’ve come a long way from “The Locomotion,” baby.
