Just before recording got underway for Lime at Lime with Tom Morello: The Nightwatchman session benefiting Amnesty International, former Black Flag frontman/raconteur/fellow activist Henry Rollins stopped by the studio for a visit. Who knew what would go down with this much talent and testosterone in one small room, but what ensued was some passionate discourse on the state of activism in America today. Rollins and Morello riffed on a variety of progressive notions ranging from Morello’s involvement with Amnesty International and his own organization Axis of Justice, to the role of music in activism, to President Obama’s first term in office.
