Say what you will about Kanye’s music and on- or off-stage antics, but you can’t say that the guy doesn’t have a heart. Proving that he’s no scrooge, the Chicago-bred MC/producer got his Spike Lee on and did the right thing for a few people in need. Feeling the spirit of the season, Kanye, alongside his girlfriend with the lovely lady lumps, Amber Rose, did their part by volunteering to feed lunch to homeless citizens this past weekend.

According to The BoomBox.com, Ye and Rose served up some grub to folks at the Los Angeles Mission, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping to improve the quality of life for the area’s homeless by providing meals, employment and rehabilitation services for over 70 years. Expressing his desire to give a little bit back, Kanye took the humble approach and said that he was honored to be able to, um, collaborate with the organization for the event.

“It’s just important [to give back] when you’re very blessed,” he said. “[It's nice] to spread your blessings and take time out, especially during the holidays, to appreciate people who never get that appreciation. It makes me feel really good to come out here, [with] my family, and I just thank ya’ll [the Los Angeles Mission] for allowing us to be apart of this.”

Shout to Kanye. Oh, and for all you Kanye Westerners (yall like that one?), the rumor is that Ye is working on new material, so a brand spanking new album is probably not that far in the future.
