Indie buzz band of the moment Real Estate hail from New Jersey and closed out 2009 by releasing a hot-shit full-length on Woodsist in November. Full of lo-fi songs about the water and the beach (coincidence?), as well as lots and lots o’ jangly guitars, the album won the hearts of many thanks to their use of simple melodies that recall early Yo La Tengo. Not too shabby for a band that got its start in the summer of 2008. After three shows this month, the boys are heading to Europe for a four-week tour in February, then hit the road in the States in March with Woods. It will be certainly be interesting to see touring will impact their dreamy style.
