NOW! series racks up 12th #1 album, may be on to something...

now-25.gifAccording to a report today on Billboard.com, the 25th installment of the NOW! That's What I Call Music series has debuted at #1 on this week's Billboard 200 album chart. The twelfth album in the series to reach #1, "NOW!" 25 sold 223,000 copies in the U.S. this week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

dogshit.gifElsewhere, Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus (daughter of the immortal, mullet-sporting, Achy-Breaky-Heart-crooning, with-the-stars-dancing Billy Ray Cyrus) saw her double-disc Hannah Montana 2 / Meet Miley Cyrus climb from #3 to #2 this week, despite its weekly sales dropping to "just" 113,000 units.

Meanwhile, Interpol's Our Love to Admire, which debuted at #4 last week, and Spoon's Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, which debuted at #10, have each dropped out of the Top 10 this week, presumably because both bands promptly pulled all their CDs from store shelves after realizing that, in spite of all their hard work, they would never sell more records than a f**king pre-packaged fictional character from a Disney Channel sitcom for children. To echo the words of Arrested Development's Gob Bluth: "COME ON!"
