Pssst...Cancel Your Plans!

Unless they already involve seeing The Rentals at Nokia Theatre tonight. What is that you say? You don't remember The Rentals? Let me refresh your memory.
The Rentals are that band from the mid-90's that made us fall in love with the Moog. They were started by Matt Sharp from Weezer, and had that one hit that would constantly get stuck in your head, "Friends of P." Do you remember now? You loved The Rentals!
What's that again? You can't afford another concert? Wow, we are just FULL of excuses today, aren't we! Well keep your wallet in your pocket because The Rentals are playing for *FREE*.
Surf on over to Ticketmaster and enter in the promotional code "RENTALS" next to the "Paperfast Promotion" box. Of course, those sneaky service charges still apply, but it still beats forking over the $25 it would otherwise cost you to see this endearing blast from the past.
Back from their 1999 hiatus, The Rentals released a four-song EP last Tuesday, entitled The Last Little Life. This is the first new material from the band in over eight years! They have one of the new songs available for stream over at their Myspace page. The EP also includes a re-recording of the "awww"-inducing track, "Sweetness and Tenderness,” from their debut 1995 album.
So what are you waiting for? Get your (free) tickets and catch the band tonight at Nokia Theater circa 8pm with Copeland and Goldenboy. It's the Return of the Rentals!!
