Am I the only one who remembers when MTV used to let really awesome artists take over the station for, like, 24 hours at a time? My memory is pretty fuzzy here, but I seem to recall a certain incident involving Courtney Love, sometime during my youth.

Anyway, here's something almost as good, for all you satellite radio devotees. Starting today at 3pm EST, Beck will take over "Left of Center" on Sirius radio. Those who own a Sirius doohickey can tune their radio to channel 26 to hear the maestro all weekend long. In addition to playing his own songs, Beck will air tunes that influenced him, live recordings from his recent tour (including his recent set at Austin City Limits), and behind-the-scenes stories from the making of his new album, Modern Guilt.
