As the evenings become not-as-stifling, and free weekend shows become more sparse, it can only mean one thing: Fall is approaching and therefore CMJ must also be right around the corner.

This year's College Music Journal Marathon takes place October 16-20 and shifts its usual Lincoln Center digs downtown to SoHo's landmark Puck Building. Other CMJ activities will invade various buildings of the NYU campus, and of course, showcases will dominate the calendars of venues all over the Lower East Side and Williamsburg.

The first round of acts playing the marathon was announced last week, but CMJ released an additional list of performers set to graze its stages just yesterday. Buzzworthy bands in the official CMJ line-up include, Justice, Band of Horses, Spoon, and M.I.A.. Combine these names with the likes of Xiu Xiu, Mates of State, No Age, and The Brunettes, and you've got a recipe for pulse-racing anticipation.

The official list of performers appearing at CMJ can be found here. Be advised that clicking may induce sheer panic at realizing the inevitable scheduling conflicts of trying to see all of your favorite bands over a 4-day span in one city.
