50kanye.jpg copyThe battle of egoes between Kanye West and 50 Cent kicks off today as Graduation and Curtis finally hit stores. But 'Ye and Fitty aren't the only artists dropping new albums today. Here are some of today's new releases.

Black Lips - Good Bad Not Evil - The Atlanta-based quartet hit shelves with their energetic fusion of psychedelic rock and up-tempo punk.

Grand National - A Drink and a Quick Decision - UK synth rock duo release a series of addicting dance songs with this effort. Watch our interview with them.

Hot Hot Heat - Happiness Ltd - The synthpunkers display maturity with a more serious album that revolves around a heartbreak.

Modeselektor - Happy Birthday! - Sophomore album from the German electro hip-hop duo. Includes a sense of humor, and guest appearances from Thom Yorke and Maximo Park. More.

Pinback - Autumn of the Seraphs - The San Diego-based duo were inspired by the mysteries of nature for this angelic rock album.

Johnathan Rice - Further North - The singer/song writer gets patriotic in Further North, subscribing to a contemporary styled country-folk-rock sound.

Shout Out Louds - Our Ill Wills - It seems like Sweden is the new powerhouse for cheeful and catchy indie pop.

Taken By Trees - Open Field - More cheerful Swedish pop, but this time softer and with female vocals.

The Go! Team - Proof of Youth - British sextet return with a new catalog of '70s-cop-show-theme inspired synth tunes.

Simian Mobile Disco - Attack Decay Sustain Release - Current remix kings of hipster dance finally get their first US release. Previously out in the UK, repackaged with two bonus tracks.

The Proclaimers - Life Without You - As they approach middle-age, these Scottish twins are putting out their 7th studio album, and it's worth a 500 mile walk.

Greys Anatomy Soundtrack - Vol. 3 - With famed music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas (The OC, Gossip Girl) behind this soundtrack, expect a solid mix of addicting indie tunes.

I was searching for some new reggae releases and came across a reggae artist called Jermaine Fagan. His music is great. I would like you to feature some cultural artist like that.
