It was a CMJ hangover week, but somehow (somehow!) we got back on track. Some of the things we managed to overlook this week include a New Pornographers (avec Bejar) concert, another Ryan Adams release, and Kid Rock getting arrested in a waffle house.

Here are some things we didn't miss:

• MySpace pimping, Justice fan robbing scalpers.
• Chats with Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan.
• Some non-World Series baseball.
• Surly hipster monkeys.
• Mediocre venue renovations.
